Colliers International recruits industry icon Chris Ridabock

Ridabock to focus on strengthening client relationships across Canada

Toronto, ON, June 16, 2016 Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International Group Inc. (NASDAQ:CIGI, TSX:CIG) today announced Chris Ridabock has joined the firm, focusing on strengthening client relationships across Canada, and reinforcing its presence in the industry and business community. In this role, he will partner with Colliers’ sales and corporate service teams across Canada and work closely with the firm’s national Managing Directors to further elevate its service delivery.

Ridabock has more than 30 years of experience in business and commercial real estate within North America and beyond, having served as President and Chief Operating Officer of J. J. Barnicke Limited, CEO of DTZ Canada and most recently, Chairman of that firm’s National Group of Companies. His expertise in overseeing large corporate and national accounts will be instrumental in securing top Canadian clients and helping them make strategic real estate decisions to achieve business goals and growth.

Ridabock’s notable projects include American Express’ Canadian headquarters; XEROX’s joint venture and tenancy of the North American Life Centre; and the IBM-Marathon Realty joint venture to build 1250 René-Lévesque in Montréal. The latter two properties now stand as landmark towers in Canada.

“I am extremely pleased to have Chris as part of the Colliers team,” says Scott Addison, President, Brokerage Services for Colliers International in Canada. “His business and real estate achievements and stellar industry reputation make him an ideal ambassador to our clients, who stand to benefit from his expert advisory and commitment to ensuring their real estate moves yield the best possible outcomes.”

“I am excited to join an organization where collaboration and client satisfaction are topmost priorities,” says Ridabock. “I look forward to working with Colliers’ expert teams to forge even stronger client relationships, further advance the firm’s leading position in the industry and provide an unprecedented level of service that positions clients for success.”

Ridabock has also served as Chairman and Head of Economic Development for the Toronto Board of Trade, as President of the Downtown Toronto Business Council, and Director of the Greater Toronto Marketing Association.

Ridabock’s recruitment rounds out a bumper quarter that saw Colliers bring on several industry powerhouses including Scott Chandler (former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian operations of a top competitor) and Andrew Barnicke (former Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, Canada for a top competitor).
